The omnivores among us might sometimes have an opportunity to eat fresh game. But how do we know when that meat is ok to eat? In the absence of professional inspectors, it helps to have some basic idea of common health problems that could be presented due to "wild" meat. The goal of this presentation will be to discuss common zoonotic pathogens in wild animals, how to recognize them, and what to do if you find them in game meat. Even non-hunters may learn something useful!
